Co-Direction Interior Design was founded by Jiang Xiaolin, Min Yao, Wang Donglei, Qu Yunlong in 2013. Co-Direction Interior Design insists on pursuing of innovation, creating designs with its heart and soul, and is immersed in practice. They have been reported many times by renowned international magazines, books, and websites, including Wallpaper, ELLE DÉCOR, INTERIOR DESIGN etc.

 

Q: Why did you get into Interior Design?

A: inspired by my art teacher in the middle school.


Q:How did you start up your career?

A: I entered a famous interior design company after graduation, and participated in some high-level projects of good quality.


Q: Where does your inspiration come from?

A: From daily life.


Q: Can you tell us about a significant accomplishment or project that you regard as notable?

A: The next one.


Q: Where would you like to see your company in 5 years from now?

A: Our company will keep finding the best designers who have dreams and requirements on themselves to strengthen our design team, and we will challenge more good projects of quality.


Q: What project(s) are you working on at the moment?

A: Boutique hotels, homestay hotels, villas, sales centres, and houses in an entire village.


Q: How do you think an Interior Designer should dress?

A: Suitable for his/her personal style, anything decent will be fine.


Q: If you could design anything, what would it be?

A: A car.


Q: What type of restaurant would you choose to go to for dinner?

A: With comfortable environment, no strange smell inside, and has exquisite and delicious dishes.


Q: Can you give us a statement about Design

A: Design is solving problems in life, improving and even changing the way of life.


Q: If you could describe your designs related to food, what would it be and why?

A: "Fresh", because our design is derived and inspired from nature.


Q: What do you think of the design trends in the future?

A: Closely related to people's life, health, and human civilisation, maybe more scientific, more natural.


Q: Who is your favourite Designer and why?

A: Kerry Hill. His design has always been classic, and he keeps surpassing his works.


Q: In which country would you like to have your project in?

A: Bali


Q: What element of a design is the most important thing to you?

A: Each element is important, colour, size, lighting, even material, texture... Each project decides which element is dominant and which is subsidiary according to different locations and different actual environment, but these elements are interdependent.
