These recording studios are located in the heart of Downtown Los Angeles and are designed with the idea of creating a collaborative work spaces throughout. The curved plywood surfaces provide a uniqueness to this project and alters the environment at the work place. The curved parts of the straight boards allows spaces to be carved out of the space for specific task. The form is very similar to music staff curves through the space giving a warm contrast to its cold, concrete shell. The transparency of the material allows the space to read as one but while still providing some privacy. The space is long and narrow with windows located at each end of the space. The element of light being carried through the spaces became an important idea implemented in design as all parallel walls were "transparent". All spaces where designed to engage in collaboration.
