Hotel Palafitte, situated in Switzerland's Lake Neuchâtel is Europe's only hotel built on stilts. This place is the perfect lakeside getaway for visitors to enjoy the amazing views they get from every spot in the room.
The 5 star hotel has 40 private guest pavilions that house 120 beds and a full-service restaraunt. Each pavilio has its own terrace and you can choose between a lake or shore pavilion.
The hotel’s design came about as part of a collaboration between architect Kurt Hoffman and his students at the Lausanne Hotel School.
